Job Summary
Manager, Federal Advocacy for Healthcare Policy leading federal advocacy strategies before Congress, focused on Medicare and related policy; cultivate and manage relationships with Congressional offices, coalition partners, and external stakeholders; develop bipartisan advocacy plans, support AOTPAC engagement, draft legislative materials, monitor federal activity, and represent AOTA at Capitol Hill and advocacy events; collaborate with internal teams (State Affairs, Practice, Communications, Membership) and support grassroots advocacy and Hill Day efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Registration as a federal lobbyist under the Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA)
- Experience in healthcare policy and federal advocacy
- Ability to cultivate relationships with Members of Congress, congressional staff, and external stakeholders
- Ability to develop and execute bipartisan advocacy strategies
- Drafting legislative materials (policy briefs, testimony, talking points, alerts, coalition communications)
- Experience coordinating with internal teams and managing advocacy programs
- Willingness to attend Capitol Hill and external events throughout the year
