Manager, Facilities Operations (Starlink)

Job Summary
Lead a team of technicians and specialists in preventative and corrective maintenance, spare part control, and troubleshooting of plant utilities including electrical systems, HVAC, chilled water, and compressed air. Drive organizational excellence through standardized KPI metrics and manage work ticketing systems to ensure timely break/fix responses. Oversee third-party service providers and partner with construction teams to execute site improvement projects, while owning cranes and material handling systems. Support 24/7 facility operations including off-hours and emergency response protocols. Manage advanced maintenance methodologies to improve equipment uptime, efficiency, and cost control within the Starlink Bastrop production building.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience with facilities operations or critical systems management in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge and understanding of infrastructure systems – HVAC, hydronics, compressed air, electrical distribution, generators, fire suppression, and other critical facility systems
- Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
- Provide 24/7 on-call support of all critical activities and emergency situations
- Valid driver's license
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong work ethic and drive for constant improvement
- Ability to independently and effectively manage projects in an extremely fast paced and changing environment
- Experience with CMMS and predictive maintenance strategies
- Track record of implementing cost-saving or utility efficiency improvements
