Job Summary
Manage daily activities of Facilities Management Operations with operational accountability and oversight. Set the tone and model positive leadership behavior while ensuring team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals. Requires a Bachelor's degree and five years of healthcare engineering management experience, including three years in design and construction/renovation. Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse is mandatory for all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of five (5) years practical experience in healthcare engineering management
- Three (3) of the five (5) required years of work experience in healthcare design and construction/renovation management
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of cost accounting, projects cost analysis and work scheduling principles
- Knowledge of plant management including systems and equipment, preventive and corrective maintenance, and emergency systems including power generation
- Ability to direct outside consultants in design, construction or renovation related activities
- Ability to supervise effectively with positive staff interaction
- Ability to present information in both verbal and written formats
- Proficiency with the use of personal computers and software programs as they relate to facility planning, project management and scheduling, budget and cost accounting, spreadsheet formatting, document development, local and Internet data access and communication
