Job Summary
Develop project scope documents, solicit engineering bids, and review invoices to manage construction repairs and renovations across Alaska and Yukon lodges and hotels. Lead on-site status reviews, approve change orders, and coordinate punch walks with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies. Communicate project financial updates and safety incidents while ensuring compliance with building codes and OSHA standards. Requires five years managing multiple trades in Alaska and proficiency in Microsoft applications and CAD.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in use of Microsoft computer business applications
- 5 years' experience managing or supervising construction projects involving multiple trades in Alaska
- Experience reading and understanding engineering reports, design documents, construction drawings, state and federal rules, codes and regulations
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines, with attention to detail and accuracy, while working in a team or group environment
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing will all levels of team members, customers and suppliers/vendors
Desired Qualifications
- CAD experience preferred
- The ideal candidate will have a professional level of knowledge of the trades and current building codes and regulations, as would be acquired through a PM or engineering degree
- Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements
