Job Summary
Lead two Colorado lab-based equipment service engineering teams as Manager, Equipment Service Engineer, overseeing installation, maintenance, repair, qualification, and reliability of Agilent and multi-vendor instruments at Boulder and Frederick NASD labs. Focus on instruments and configurations across HPLC systems (1260/1290), LCMS, QTOF, BioInerts GC/GCMS, ICPMS, Flame AA, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and Capillary Electrophoresis. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing performance issues, documenting service activities in CMMS, supporting audits, delivering integrated solutions (peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software), and mentoring service engineers and instrument users. Leadership experience in supervising is preferred and on-site leadership with limited travel supports two Colorado lab locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry biotechnology or similar
- 5+ years experience as an Agilent Field Service Engineer or similar position
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving
- Experience with equipment parts sourcing
