Job Summary
Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced automation systems and manufacturing equipment to support high-volume solar cell production. Drive equipment reliability, throughput, and scalability while ensuring safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing equipment projects from concept to commissioning, budgeting and vendor management, implementing PLC/SCADA and IoT-powered predictive maintenance, ensuring ISO/SEMI compliance, mentoring staff, and hiring top talent. Travel up to 20% internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering or automation
- Experience with automation projects in a high-volume manufacturing environment (e.g., semiconductors, automotive, or aerospace)
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets exceeding $10M and lead multidisciplinary teams in agile development cycles
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Strong programming for automation (Structured Text, Ladder Logic, C++)
- Robotics experience (FANUC, ABB)
- CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Budget management (exceeding $10M)
- Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to travel internationally up to 20%
- ISO and SEMI compliance knowledge
- Experience in high-volume solar cell manufacturing or similar industries
