Job Summary
Oversee environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for the air and ground ambulance industry. Serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies, conducting audits, managing waste disposal, and developing spill response plans. Coordinate environmental impact assessments, provide staff training on policies, and prepare reports to stakeholders and agencies. Engage legal for Notices of Violation as needed. Requires some travel within the United States (up to 50%).
Required Qualifications
- MUST RESIDE IN Northern CALIFORNIA
- Position requires some travel within the United States (up to 50%)
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the air and ground medical transportation industry
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including those specific to aviation and emergency medical services
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Office products
- Experience with CERS and SMARTS CA specific web based environmental solutions
Desired Qualifications
- Certifications in environmental management (e.g., CEM, CHMM) are a plus
