Job Summary
Lead a team of EH&S Coordinators by establishing priorities, providing coaching, and ensuring consistent execution of safety programs across the portfolio. Implement company EH&S strategy and continuous improvement initiatives while championing Human & Organizational Performance and Life Critical Risk Management principles. Coach field leadership, conduct facility audits, and lead investigations using root cause analysis to verify corrective actions. Develop and maintain dashboards tracking TRIR, SIIR, risk notifications, and audit findings; partner with Environmental Compliance to reduce spills and regulatory risk. Oversee contractor safety programs, develop annual training strategies, and prepare executive-level reports on performance trends. Travel 30-50% to support operations and ensure compliance with OSHA, FERC, and internal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of progressive EH&S leadership experience in utilities, power generation, industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industries
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation, auditing, and risk management
- Experience leading multi-site safety programs
- Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and influencing skills
- Travel (30-50%) throughout the portfolio to coach, audit, and support operations
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with safety management systems, Power BI, or similar analytics tools preferred
- Professional certifications such as CUSP, CSP, or ASP preferred
- Hydroelectric, utility, FERC experience preferred
