Job Summary

Develop and manage proactive division-specific environmental programs ensuring compliance with laws covering spill prevention, air emissions, storm water, wetlands, and waste management. Oversee preparation of air and storm water permit applications for complex oil and gas facilities, including gas plants and crude bulk terminals. Advise production operations and facility engineers on permitting requirements, emission controls, and compliance documentation. Manage ongoing environmental projects, remediation efforts, and due diligence assessments while coordinating with consultants and contract staff. Investigate spills, landowner complaints, and regulatory impacts; monitor federal, state, and local regulations. Travel to field offices and well sites (30% field, 10% travel). Collaborate with corporate staff on S&E management systems and participate in industry regulatory development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geology or related technical field
  • 10+ years of oil and gas related environmental experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and sound judgment
  • Broad knowledge of environmental laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with multiple departments within the division
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Travel to field offices and well sites (30% field and 10% travel)

  • Master's degree preferred
