Job Summary
Guide and mentor team members on architecture and best practices, review project designs for presentations, and influence technical direction across the group. Lead improvements in engineering effectiveness, bridge teams to solve cross-functional issues, and manage resources efficiently against product goals. Facilitate discussions with Product and Design on feature sets for market and implementation efficiency, ensuring all live site projects undergo design and deployment reviews with appropriate testing and scalability plans. Monitor deployments and features post-launch while actively participating in recruiting. Based in Los Angeles, CA, this role reports to the Director/Senior Director of Engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years software development experience
- 5+ years previous management experience
- Experience building scalable, high available customer-facing cloud applications
- Experience building teams including, recruiting and retention
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
