Job Summary
Manager, Engineering - Water leads the coordination, planning, design, and construction oversight of temporary water infrastructure across all venues for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Responsibilities include developing a water infrastructure strategy, coordinating internal and external stakeholders to develop cost-effective solutions, leading water infrastructure design to meet schedule milestones, overseeing external resources, providing training and support for delivery teams on water infrastructure operations, and supporting cross-functional initiatives such as permitting, risk management, procurement, and health & safety. Requires collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, ability to publish design packages through project milestones, and experience with relevant codes/regulations; onsite work in Downtown Los Angeles with potential after-hours requirements during peak event periods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- Minimum 5+ years experience developing design documentation (piping layouts, load calculations, equipment selection, specifications, controls)
- Experience with key industry codes and local regulations
- Advanced knowledge of engineering tools and software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Forma, Bluebeam, Procore)
- Ability to manage external consultants
- Availability to work onsite in Downtown Los Angeles
