Job Summary
Conduct technical and commercial due diligence for solar power projects, managing performance testing from planning through completion and supporting construction commissioning. Review test procedures and results, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals, and guide a team of subject matter experts using modeling software like PVSyst and PVCase. Drive process automation, interpret Python code, and support project management with timelines and budgets while visiting construction sites to ensure deliverables meet contract requirements. Lead the development of testing protocols and tools, provide mentorship to engineers, and ensure safety compliance across all site operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Resource, Physics, or related technical discipline
- 5 years Construction Industry experience, with focus in Solar Renewables and/or as a test engineer or design engineer responsible for test development
- 3 years Leadership/Supervisor/Manager experience
- Ability to travel 5 to 15%
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced level of knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced level of knowledge in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Understanding operational needs of the owners, utilities, grid and interconnection entities
- Solar power plant design
- Solar power plant performance analysis
- Understanding concepts of collection system design
- Familiarity with Industry Standards
