Job Summary
Engineering Manager role leading a Java-focused software engineering team. Responsibilities include hands-on technical leadership, design/architecture oversight using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and modern front-end stacks (Angular); define architectural best practices; lead and mentor an engineering team toward high performance; drive operational excellence with metric-driven improvements; manage large Agile projects with product, QA, and business stakeholders; budget and resource planning; participate in on-call rotations. Required: 12–15 years software development with at least 3+ years in leadership; strong Java/Spring Boot/Microservices experience; full-stack Angular; cloud proficiency (AWS preferred); database expertise (MySQL); strong Agile/DevOps practices; excellent communication and stakeholder management; bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
Required Qualifications
- 12–15 years of software development experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership role
- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture
- Experience with full-stack development (Angular preferred)
- Expertise in designing and operating secure, scalable, highly available distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)
- Strong database knowledge (MySQL or other relational databases)
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
- Strong skills in Object-Oriented Design, system design, and security principles
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Certifications in Cloud, Agile, or Architecture frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
