Job Summary
Manager – Electrical & Controls Engineering leads a small team of automation engineers on electrical and controls brownfield projects, providing project management, technical leadership, and business development. Responsibilities include assigning and reviewing technical work, overseeing project coordination for accurate billing and financial reporting, consulting with customers to prepare specifications and proposals, leading large capital projects from feasibility through cost estimates, developing opportunities in assigned industries, supporting sales growth strategies, recruiting and developing staff, networking with industry groups, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and embodying ANDRITZ values. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 8+ years in industrial automation (preferably in consulting), prior leadership experience, PE licensing or eligibility as an asset, site audit/commissioning/start-up experience, strong communication skills, knowledge of North American standards, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. The position is located in Little Rock, AR, with a remote or hybrid work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in industrial automation engineering (preferably in consulting)
- Previous leadership or management experience
- Registered, or eligible for immediate registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is an asset
- Site audit, commissioning, construction, and start-up experience
- Proven ability to successfully manage and deliver electrical/controls projects
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills (English)
- Practical knowledge of North American standards
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international sites
- Experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry is required
