Job Summary
Oversee development and evaluation of educational programs for clinical and non-clinical staff across the organization to support the hospital mission, regulatory compliance, staff development, onboarding, and quality of care. Lead instructional design and adult learning initiatives; drive Magnet designation efforts and Nursing Shared Governance; promote equity, inclusion, and access in education; collaborate with leadership to ensure regulatory readiness and high-quality professional development; communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders; manage organizational learning initiatives and LMS-related activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Education, Healthcare Administration or related field required
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in healthcare including minimum of 2 years in a leadership or education based role
- Proven experience contributing to Magnet designation efforts and Nursing Shared Governance structure
- Licensed in the State of Vermont (RN)
- Certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC), Nursing Education (CNE), Clinical Nursing Education (CNE-cl) and/or related credentials preferred. Certification is required within 1 year of hire
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of staff development, regulatory education and nursing professional practice
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams and promote equity, inclusion and access in education and professional development
- Demonstrated understanding of Magnet principles, nursing excellence frameworks and shared decision-making models
- Strong skill set in instruction design, adult learning theory and regulatory readiness
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent professional presentation skills
- Ability to interact with and engage all levels of management as well as individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop applications and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
