Job Summary
Lead macroeconomic updates and forecasts on major economies; provide analyses and projections on exchange rates and financial markets; undertake thematic research in macroeconomics; respond to ad hoc internal requests regarding economic or market developments. Must hold a Master’s degree in Economics, be proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, and have at least 1 year of economic research experience with strong knowledge of economics, especially China-related issues. Proficient in data/tools and MS Office; knowledge of global financial markets and banking is preferable.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics
- Proficient in data and statistics tools
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
- At least 1 year of economic research experience
- Sound knowledge of economics, particularly on China-related issues
- Adequate knowledge of global financial markets; banking knowledge is preferable
- Good understanding of economic research methodologies
