Job Summary
Lead Chevron's Commercial Analytics team within Supply & Trading, overseeing analysis of market fundamentals, pricing structures, trade flows, and competitor activity to inform trading strategies and unlock commercial opportunities. Drive global collaboration with analysts and traders across Houston, San Ramon, Singapore, and London to align on arbitrage strategies, supply/demand modeling, and market positioning. Guide development and deployment of deterministic and dynamic models; champion digital tools including machine learning and predictive modeling to enhance trading performance and uncover value. Embed quantitative risk management into trading decisions and exposure strategies; champion continuous improvement through lookback reviews and refinement of analytical approaches. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 7 years of energy trading/commercial analytics experience, plus 2 years of direct people leadership and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Applied Math, Data Science, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in energy trading, commodity markets, or commercial analytics
- Minimum 2 years of direct people leadership or team management experience
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to translate complex data into actionable, trade-relevant recommendations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present market insights clearly to influence decisions at all levels
- Collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, global trading environment with a digital-first mindset and passion for innovation
