Job Summary

Lead and manage the DevOps Engineering team by fostering a culture of innovation to ensure optimal operation of ARC's technology stack. Accountable for designing and implementing DevOps functions, processes, and procedures, including establishing a vision for robust Cloud platforms. Develop team members by providing tools and resources to learn and grow, ensuring alignment with the DevOps strategy. Partner with Product Teams, Enterprise Support Engineers, and Solution Architects to analyze business needs and improve supportability, scalability, and recovery. Plan, direct, and oversee the financial budget for the department while managing recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and performance monitoring. Stay current with the latest technologies to leverage industry best practices and new tools for customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in AWS Cloud administration including cost reporting, optimization, and management
  • 3+ years of experience in managing, coaching, and developing technical teams
  • Experience with full cycle development (SDLC) in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Experience with DevOps role including CI/CD Automation, Infrastructure as code (Terraform), and source code management (Git) administration, branching, merge, and flow strategies
  • Ability to lead a group through an architectural development process and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to discover and define non-functional requirements and to transform them into technical requirements and solution definition
  • Ability to influence technology strategy and best practices across peer and leadership groups to support an agile development culture
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management, including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in system administration role is preferred
  • Experience with leading multiple resources through triaging events and ability to communicate after action reports
  • A strong intellectual curiosity to continually challenge what exists and explore what should be changed to best meet evolving business goals
  • A strong passion to support peers to help meet timelines on larger projects
