Job Summary
Lead planning and design of retail developments by managing external architectural and engineering consultants from concept through construction. Provide master planning input on mixed-use projects, review consultant concepts and drawings, and participate in value engineering sessions to meet design goals. Coordinate with tenant teams to evaluate work letters, review design drawings, and assist with procurement for fixtures and equipment. Develop project design scope, schedule, and budget for AE services, solicit proposals, prepare RFPs, and manage contracts through the Project Management system. Conduct site visits for progress reviews and mock-ups to resolve design-related problems. Requires a Bachelor of Architecture and 10+ years of progressive AE industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture from a NAAB-accredited school
- Minimum of 10 years progressive AE industry experience
- 6 years commercial retail experience
- Demonstrated ability to graphically communicate design solutions through hand sketching
- Computer 2D/3D modeling including: SketchUp or Rhino, CAD or REVIT
- Rendering engine experience including V-Ray or Enscape
- Experience coordinating engineering disciplines with architectural documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Architecture license and registration in at least one U.S. state
- Photoshop experience
- Knowledge of multifamily market sectors
- Knowledge of hospitality market sectors
