Job Summary
Lead and manage engineering teams responsible for designing and developing transformers and related components from concept through production. Oversee project execution to ensure alignment with business objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while managing project resources and budgets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to drive seamless integration and continuous improvement. Mentor junior managers and senior engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of safety and best practices. Monitor team performance against engineering KPIs and address project challenges through proactive risk management. This onsite role in Athens, GA, requires a candidate with over eight years of engineering experience to deliver on time and within allocated resources.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- More than 8 years of experience in engineering, with significant experience managing engineering teams and projects
- Proven ability to manage engineering teams and lead projects from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and modern manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to deliver multiple projects and priorities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals
- Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in risk management and issue resolution
- Experience managing budgets and project resources to meet objectives
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA is preferred
