Job Summary
Manager, Data Scientist for Travel Intelligence (Flights) focusing on end-to-end ML strategy in the Flights domain. Build and deploy ML models using a broad stack (Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark) to transform travel data into intelligent, personalized experiences. Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver data-driven solutions that optimize fare pricing, flight sorting, and product experiences. Emphasizes customer-first, creative problem solving and communication of complex analyses into clear business goals. Strong emphasis on open-source tooling, cloud computing, big data, and producing scalable data science solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field with 6+ years of data analytics experience OR
- Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 4+ years of data analytics experience OR
- PhD in a quantitative field plus 1+ year of data analytics experience
- At least 1 year of experience leveraging open source programming languages for large-scale data analysis
- At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases
