Job Summary
Manager, Data Engineering to lead Applied Data Engineering on the DataOne team. You will oversee discovery, architecture, and development of scalable source-of-truth data marts and data products, guide cross-functional initiatives, and mentor a growing team. Key responsibilities include onboarding and technical ramp-up on the stack (Python, Airflow, Snowflake, DBT, Meltano, Fivetran, Looker, AWS), delivering company-wide impact within 60–90 days, and driving ongoing evolution of data platforms. You will champion data quality, usability, reliability, and security across the organization, provide technical leadership, and collaborate across departments to translate business needs into robust data solutions. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in Python or Scala, experience with enterprise data in apps like Salesforce and Workday, strong data visualization design, Agile experience, and ability to shape the strategic data vision. Compensation ranges from $170,000 to $205,000 with equity; benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, parental leave, and more. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or similar
- 8+ years building and optimizing data pipelines, products, and solutions
- Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, Meltano, Fivetran, DBT, and AWS
- Strong SQL proficiency
- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Sigma, Domo, PowerBI)
- Leadership experience (at least 3+ years in a leadership role)
- Ability to deliver high-impact, scalable data products and data marts
- Excellent communication skills and ability to drive data-driven narratives
