Manager - Data Center Operations

Job Summary
Lead data center operations as a Senior Manager, overseeing electrical, mechanical, integrated control, and water chemistry expertise for the data center; coordinate contractors and consultants for daily operations and critical maintenance (UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers); partner with CFOps, regional finance, and construction teams to develop and track budgets and drive cost efficiency; implement and manage preventive/predictive maintenance and commissioning activities for new systems; supervise and mentor site personnel, manage training documentation, and ensure high operational reliability, safety compliance, and timely incident response. Key skills include data center power and cooling systems, project coordination, budget management, team leadership, NFPA/NEC/OSHA compliance, PLC/relay logic, and strong communication.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar field
- Advanced experience in data centre and/or critical facilities
- Proven experience managing and motivating critical facilities operations and maintenance teams
- Ability to coordinate contractors and consultants for daily operations and critical maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical systems, and facility operations
- Experience with budgeting, staff planning, and KPI tracking (NPS, etc.)
- Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 25 and related compliance issues
- Ability to train and mentor facility staff
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate in a process-driven, team environment
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and potentially late night work
