Job Summary
Lead the development and evolution of Yorkville University's data governance program. Design and implement governance frameworks, standards, policies, and operating models to ensure data quality, security, compliance, and usability. Assess current data landscape, define a pragmatic roadmap with milestones and KPIs, establish governance forums (e.g., Data Quality & Stewardship Committee), and collaborate with IT, legal, privacy, and data owners to embed governance across the organization. Oversee data stewardship and quality practices, enable data lineage and traceability across systems, and support modern data platforms and governance tooling (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Purview). Communicate findings to business stakeholders, translate complex data concepts into business value, and promote data literacy and governance practices across teams. This is a newly created, full-time role with 2 days remote and 3 days on-site at Toronto locations, moving to the new headquarters in 2027.
