Manager, Data and Solution Architect

Job Summary
Lead and design data and solution architecture for AIA Group functions, aligning with enterprise architecture and Group IT strategy. Drive end-to-end solution design, governance, and implementation across data lake/warehouse/ETL/ELT, data virtualization, and Azure components, with a focus on AI/ML solutions. Collaborate with GIS, CIS, GCI, BCM and GIO to ensure stakeholder alignment, govern design governance forums, onboard development teams, and guide offshore and multi-national teams toward BAU transition while ensuring audit compliance and risk management. Demonstrate strong leadership, project delivery, and communications skills to build lasting relationships with senior executives and business partners, while delivering architecture that supports Finance (Treasury, Actuarial, Risk & Compliance), HR, Investments and ESG initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- University graduate major in IT or equivalent
- 10+ years’ experience in IT including enterprise architecture, AI solutions, data, solution & platform architecture, and solution delivery
- 5 years’ relevant experience in data lake, data warehouse, and data-mart implementation
- Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure (Databricks, SQL, ADLS, Power BI, Azure Data Factory)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record in delivering end-to-end IT solution designs and governance
- Cloud certifications e.g., MS Azure fundamental, MS Azure architect (preferred)
- Ability to operate in a complex program environment and coordinate with offshore teams
