Job Summary
Seasoned application and solution architect to lead and design solutions for AIA Group functions aligned with enterprise architecture and Group IT strategy. Responsibilities include hands-on technology architecture design for data lake/warehouse/datamart with ETL/ELT integration from internal/external units, data virtualization, Azure components, and AI/ML solutions; governance and approvals, onboarding development teams, and driving end-to-end project delivery. Emphasis on architecture roadmap, audit/compliance, stakeholder management, and coordination with offshore teams to deliver value and simplify architecture while aligning with Group IT strategy. The role focuses on project-based IT solution design, with leadership in multi-national settings and the ability to operate as both project leader and individual contributor.
Required Qualifications
- University graduate major in IT or equivalent
- 10+ years’ experience in IT including enterprise architecture, AI solutions, data, solution & platform architecture, and solution delivery with minimal 5+ years in leadership roles
- 5 years’ relevant experience in data lake, data warehouse, and data-mart implementation; preferably in Insurance and/or financial industry
- Solid experience in technologies, provisioning application services in Azure cloud infrastructure (Databricks, SQL, ADLS, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Copilot)
- Experience working with business partners and digital product owners to understand specific requirements that drive IT solutions
- Regional support and leading remote development team experience in a multi-national company
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; stakeholder management; problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong project and people management skills; ability to function as project leader and individual contributor
- Cloud certifications e.g., MS Azure fundamental, MS Azure architect
