Job Summary
Manage and control all financial and operational functions of the Employees Credit Union, leading staff, overseeing day-to-day operations, and aligning team performance with long-term profitability goals. Direct financial strategy by preparing annual budget proposals, analyzing data for stability, and producing regular financial statements and investment reports. Ensure rigorous regulatory compliance as the Compliance Officer, managing state and federal audits including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering programs. Manage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring withdrawal and loan needs, maintaining cash policies, and coordinating with the Federal Reserve and Kentucky Corporate Credit Union. Drive member engagement by overseeing marketing efforts, advertising, promotional campaigns, and quarterly newsletter communications. Facilitate board governance by leading monthly board meetings and collaborating with directors to define strategic goals. Oversee technology and risk management, maintaining software integrity through vendor upgrades and managing annual liability coverage. Protect assets by independently collecting on past due accounts and coordinating legal actions, collateral repossessions, and bankruptcy claims.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ten plus years work experience
- Experience in Banking or Credit Union field
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to independently manage and complete assigned workload within established deadlines in a high pressure, team environment utilizing initiative, discretion, and independent judgment
- Ability to perform work with accuracy, with attention to detail and within established time frames
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external personnel
- Proven analytical mathematical skills; ability to handle detailed information with an extreme degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee financial information
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel within the company and with external contacts
- Proficient in use of Excel and Word
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with ten plus years work experience preferred
