Job Summary
Develop credit models and strategies for lending products using NPV optimization and design optimization-driven frameworks rather than rules-based criteria. Assist in the design, coding, and testing of credit strategies across the full customer lifecycle, while supporting the development, execution, and monitoring of approaches for adjudication, account management, and transaction monitoring. Identify data requirements from internal and external sources, establish applicable modeling techniques with rationale, and escalate material credit risks and trends. Maintain full documentation with version controls for all official models, strategies, and policies.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a quantitative field, Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience analyzing credit card data, developing credit modeling using statistical techniques and ML techniques
- experience with developing credit strategies for adjudication, account management and transaction monitoring
- proficiency in data analysis tools (SAS, Python, R, SQL)
- hands-on experience with credit model development using, Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, GLM, Gradient Boosting and other modeling techniques
- deep understanding of credit modeling along with strategy optimization based on NPV
- familiarity with decisioning platforms such as Triad, FICO DMP, Provenir, etc.
- highly organized, detail-oriented and can initiate proactively
- ability to work independently and handle the pressure of tight timelines
- ability to draw conclusions and provide explanations to make recommendations based on analysis
- problem solver with analytical and conceptual thinking
- leadership experience and a proven ability to collaborate with business leaders to drive analytically-based strategies
- strong work ethic, curious and persistent determination in reviewing and reconciling variances
