Manager, Cost Accounting

Job Summary
The Cost Accounting Manager will oversee cost accounting functions, manage direct reports, ensure accurate inventory costing and capitalization, analyze tariff/freight/duty absorption, perform variance analysis, develop and maintain cost policies, prepare and present cost reports to senior management, and collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales, and finance to optimize costs. Responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring inventory valuation, aiding budgeting/forecasting, supporting audits and transfer pricing studies, staying current on industry best practices, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 5 years in cost accounting (preferably in manufacturing or distribution), strong ERP experience (JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar), and preferred CPA/CMA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience (preferably in distribution or manufacturing)
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and variance analysis
- Experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or similar
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Experience with international trade and supervisory experience preferred
