Job Summary
Cost Accounting Manager position responsible for cost accounting close, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for the U.S. Selling Unit. Leads standard costing and annual cost roll, monitors margins and inventory reserves, supports internal/external audits, and collaborates with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, and IT. This senior individual contributor role uses Epicor, Power BI, and Excel to develop reporting, explains margin drivers, and drives process improvements while supervising the cost accounting team. Travel may be required; role operates in a professional office environment with periodic manufacturing-floor presence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Significant experience in manufacturing cost accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor) and data analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
