Job Summary
Support the development and execution of RTX's enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives. Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunities. Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies. Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planning. Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions, and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development, and due diligence execution. Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses and assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings. Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environment. This Manager role reports directly to the President & CEO within the Corporate Strategy & Development team, advising leadership on the highest value issues facing the company.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- A University Degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 8 years prior relevant experience
- An Advanced Degree in a related field
- minimum 5 years experience
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in PowerPoint

- Aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sector experience
- Ability to take ownership of assigned projects/teams, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results
- Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
- Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of concepts
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities
- Familiarity with financial data services (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg)
- Proven ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade others
