Job Summary
Oversee multiple consumer product categories and subcategories while driving licensing plans that include category strategy, contract ownership, and annual operating plans. Establish revenue plans for assigned brands and categories, then analyze business opportunities to recommend consolidations and identify growth drivers through quarterly licensee forecast evaluations. Define category goals, coordinate cross-category launch strategies with retail development, and provide guidance to franchise and creative teams on campaign prioritization and activation. Evaluate new licensee opportunities, monitor industry trends, and direct whitespace analysis to ensure toy-adjacent licensed products complement vertical lines.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ yrs of related experience
- In-office presence following Mattel's current policy
- Strong knowledge of licensing industry
- Thorough understanding of the organizational structure and business objectives of licensees and other key business partners
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and research skills and ability to identify trends
- Effective project management skills
- Thorough planning skills
- Ability to foster relationships in a highly matrixed organization
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
