Job Summary
Oversee planning, execution, and successful completion of multiple commercial construction projects while serving as the master scheduler for labor allocation and resource planning. Coordinate subcontracting processes and manage vendor selection, performance, and contract compliance for pipefitters, sheet metal workers, and plumbers. Conduct regular job site visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and adherence to specifications, providing estimating support to sales teams as needed. Directly supervise Project Managers and field employees, monitor budgets and KPIs, and act as the primary contact for escalated issues involving customers and stakeholders. Requires 5–10 years of commercial HVAC construction experience and ability to travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in construction, estimating, project management, or operations leadership
- Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of commercial HVAC construction experience
- Ability to travel to local job sites up to 50%
Desired Qualifications
- Technical school training in HVAC
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and project management principles
- Proven ability to develop and manage complex project schedules while balancing labor resources, subcontractors, and project priorities
- Demonstrated leadership and employee management skills, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Ability to foster positive relationships with employees, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and contract administrators
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling and/or ERP software
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
