Job Summary
Manager of Concerts at SOCAN leading the Concert distributions team in Toronto with a hybrid work model. Responsible for day-to-day operations, setting priorities, monitoring KPIs, driving process improvements, and ensuring accurate and timely distribution outcomes that maximize value for creators and rights holders. Will lead, coach, and develop staff, coordinate with IT and external partners (e.g., Entandem), manage case-driven inquiries via CRM, act as escalation point for complex issues, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to optimize systems and workflows in a data-driven, music-rights environment.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, music business, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in operations management, preferably in a royalties, music rights, or other data-driven environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and with external partners
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, competing demands, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with business systems, music royalty/repertoire systems, reporting tools, and CRM platforms
- Bilingualism (French/English) is a significant asset
