Job Summary
Manager of Community Engagement responsible for leading Southern CA fundraising initiatives, including Empower Walk + 5K, SoCal Golf Classic, and other events. Focus on recruiting and managing volunteers, achieving revenue goals (portfolio goal over $250,000), sponsor and corporate recruitment, donor stewardship, and collaboration with regional Outreach Director. Will execute event logistics, volunteer committee management, digital outreach, and integration of global campaigns, with travel within the Southern CA area. Requires bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 3+ years of fundraising leadership; strong communication, planning, budgeting, data entry, and MS Office skills; willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel as needed. Located in Greater Los Angeles area with potential remote elements as per team needs, and travel within the region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years professional fundraising leadership experience
- 3+ years demonstrated leadership with focus on peer-to-peer fundraising, recruitment and management of volunteers, relationship-building, networking, budget management, and volunteer mobilization
- Proven track record of multi-functional fundraising experience: special events, multiple walk events, corporate campaigns
