Job Summary
Lead the strategy, administration, and evolution of the firm's cloud and infrastructure environment, overseeing a modern ecosystem centered on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, and Exchange. Direct the administration, security, and governance of these environments while ensuring high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Own the day-to-day operations of compute, storage, networking, and identity services, manage vendor partnerships and contracts, and lead cloud migrations and infrastructure upgrades. Partner with technology leadership to develop budgets and cost optimization strategies, collaborate with security and development teams to deliver secure services, and establish infrastructure standards and access controls. Monitor performance metrics and proactively address risks, providing reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or related technology functions
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience within an infrastructure or cloud operations environment
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including compute, storage, networking, identity, and security services
- Experience administering Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Intune environments
- Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, cybersecurity principles, firewalls, SD-WAN technologies, and enterprise infrastructure
- Proven project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing operational requirements and long-term strategic goals
- Experience working with managed service providers (MSPs) and external technology partners
- Demonstrated professionalism, communication skills, and discretion when handling sensitive information
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting a law firm or other professional services organization
- Familiarity with Ubiquiti networking solutions and enterprise network management
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102), Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300), or similar credentials
- ITIL Foundation certification or experience with IT service management (ITSM) best practices
