Job Summary

Manager, Cloud Engineering to lead and develop a cloud engineering team responsible for architecture, reliability, and evolution of the cloud platform. Role combines hands-on technical leadership with team development, driving infrastructure modernization, automation, and operational excellence across a global SaaS environment. Primarily Azure-based with some AWS, focusing on guiding modernization, reducing complexity, and building a high-performing team. Hands-on with infrastructure design and IaC (Bicep/ARM/Terraform), establishing reliability practices (observability, monitoring, SLOs, incident response), and leading FinOps. Responsibilities include defining the cloud architecture roadmap, mentoring engineers, improving CI/CD and deployment automation, ensuring scalability and security, and collaborating with product, security, and other engineering teams. Preferred to have Azure certifications and experience with AKS, multi-cloud, and AI-assisted tooling. Hybrid work arrangement in Pune.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps
  • 2+ years in leadership or senior technical role with mentoring responsibility
  • Production infrastructure experience for SaaS
  • Azure infrastructure expertise
  • IaC tools experience (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
  • Scripting/programming skills (PowerShell, Python, C#)
  • Designing highly available distributed systems
  • Leadership and team development abilities

Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps
  • 2+ years in a leadership, management, or senior technical role with direct responsibility for mentoring or developing engineers
  • Experience operating production infrastructure for SaaS platforms
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and architecture
  • Experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform
  • Strong scripting or programming skills in PowerShell, Python, C#, or similar languages
  • Experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across organizational levels
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of technical teams
