Job Summary

Collaborate with leadership to recruit, supervise, and coach Developmental Services Allied Health staff while administering performance appraisals and resolving conflicts. Lead clinical service delivery by developing annual work plans, monitoring budgets, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Liaise with First Nations communities, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to strategize priority issues, facilitate service delivery, and conduct community visits. Evaluate program effectiveness, develop quality benchmarks, and prepare funding requests and reports for submission. Represent the organization at external meetings and conferences as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in an Allied Health Profession (AHP)
  • Current Registration with the AHP's Professional College of Ontario, in good standing
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in one of the above-mentioned health related fields
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
  • knowledge of First Nations' people, history, culture, health priorities and social issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal/written and computer communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain respectful/cooperative relationships with First Nations people, communities, service stakeholders and health care providers
  • Ability to function effectively during change management, periods of rapid change and transition
  • Experience in people management, program development, governance, budget, resource management, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, internal and external to the organization
  • Experience fulfilling reporting requirements to funders
  • Excellent verbal/written communication
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must be willing to relocate and live in Sioux Lookout (or within a daily commuting distance)
  • Must be willing to travel by various modes

  • Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects of the Sioux Lookout region
