Manager, Client Accounting Services (CAS) – Professional Services Focus

Job Summary
Lead and review outsourced controllership and accounting services for professional service clients, overseeing month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and support clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis. Develop dashboards and KPIs to analyze revenue trends, utilization rates, and operational performance, while standardizing internal controls and accounting processes. Serve as the primary financial advisor to business owners, collaborating on growth planning, staffing, and pricing strategies. Lead and coach CAS staff to ensure quality and consistency, assisting with system optimization and technology implementation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or CAS Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Experience analyzing business performance metrics and providing operational insights
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and/or Sage Intacct
- Experience with accounting technology platforms such as BILL, Expensify, Ramp, Fathom, or similar solutions
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to business owners and non-financial stakeholders
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Consultative, client-focused mindset
