Job Summary
Lead and coach aClaims Operations team responsible for auto injury claims, driving ongoing process improvements, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Manage workload, staffing, training needs, and career progression; set and monitor adherence to guidelines and frameworks; hire and develop claims employees for results delivery; apply data-driven decision-making to enhance member experiences and operational effectiveness. Requires Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 6 years of progressive customer service/leadership with at least 2 years in claims handling, 2 years of direct supervisory experience, and the ability to obtain an insurance adjuster license within 6 months. Location is Chesapeake, VA with an in-office requirement four days per week; relocation assistance is not available. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 6 years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience to include a minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience required with demonstrated proficiency
- 2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience
- Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months time in role
