Job Summary
Partner directly with founders and business owners to deliver practical financial advice, manage a portfolio of SME clients, and prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management reporting. Review work from offshore finance team members to maintain quality standards while improving client finance processes and supporting onboarding. Mentor team members and help establish scalable operating procedures as you work closely with the Founder to shape the business's growth. This role offers direct influence on a growing Australian advisory firm serving ambitious SMEs, providing exposure to diverse industries, modern finance technology, and future profit-sharing opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- CA or CPA qualification
- Around 6 to 10 years' experience across public practice and commercial accounting roles
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Commercial curiosity
- Experience preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial models
- Confidence working directly with business owners and senior stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of Xero and cloud accounting systems
- Interest in AI, automation and finding smarter ways of working
- Hands-on attitude
- Willingness to help build an exciting young business from the ground up
