Job Summary
Manager in CFO Advisory at KPMG Australia, Canberra. Lead and deliver high-impact finance advisory services across government engagements, including financial & regulatory reporting, budget development, cost estimation, investment analysis, technical accounting, finance transformation, digital finance and automation, governance frameworks, data analytics, procurement and commercial advisory. Build executive dashboards and board papers; manage multiple engagements; mentor junior team members. Requires Australian citizenship and ability to obtain active government security clearance. Tertiary qualifications in accounting/finance/business; professional certifications such as CA/CPA/CIMA highly regarded. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and Excel/modeling skills. In-person role in Canberra with flexible hours/locations and generous benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Australian citizenship
- ability to obtain and hold an active government security clearance
- tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business or related fields
- professional certifications such as CA, CPA or CIMA are highly regarded
- demonstrated experience in financial management, accounting or cost estimation
- proficiency in financial modelling tools and Microsoft Excel
- strong analytical and commercial mindset
- ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes
- expertise in interpreting complex financial standards and frameworks
- excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- experience in mentoring or managing junior team members
