Job Summary
Optimize global sourcing effectiveness by acting as supplier owner to oversee end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement processes. Manage vendor master data, negotiate contracts, and lead Total Cost of Ownership initiatives through market benchmarking and stakeholder collaboration. Actively source new technologies, evaluate market trends, and define global supplier strategies while managing vendor performance against industry baselines. Secure sourcing deliverables for NPI development, including RFQs and continuous cost improvements, and serve as the escalation party for supplier management throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Provide thoughtful leadership and innovative strategies for optimizing global sourcing effectiveness
- Build and develop high performing team members with authentic leadership by setting S.M.A.R.T. goals
- Act as supplier owner; oversee, conduct, and actively manage and improve the end-to-end strategic sourcing and procurement process
- Act as escalation party to supplier management throughout product lifecycle
- Ensure expedient and compliant implementation of contracts throughout organization
- Accountable for vendor master and purchasing price and terms updates and maintenance in the system
- Lead supplier Total Cost Ownership Management by collaboration with stakeholders based on market insight, industrial benchmark and best practices
- Lead to define and implement global supplier strategy with strong collaboration with corporate and regional stakeholders
- Actively source, evaluate and identify market trends and new technologies
- Make appropriate fact-based recommendations for adoption by HARMAN stakeholders
- Support building product roadmap
- Establish strong vendor relationships
- Effectively manage category supply base
- Perform advanced and intricate negotiations
- Oversee selection of key vendors
- Lead to manage vendor and internal performance (Supplier Performance Scorecard) against contracts, industry benchmarks, and previous baselines on a regular basis (QBR)
- Actively support and / or lead NPI development by securing sourcing deliverables with supplier selection, RFQ and continuous cost improvements
