Job Summary
Lead the capacity development program for First Nations FAL clients to help them achieve FMS certification by facilitating, empowering, and educating stakeholders; develop and deliver resources (tools, templates, webinars, tutorials, workshops); collaborate with third-party researchers and institutions (including AFOA Canada) for training materials; manage post-certification support and share outcomes at national and regional conferences; travel to remote locations as needed; build relationships with clients, contractors, and funders to advance capacity-building and governance improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another business-related field
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or CAFM) preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in planning and conducting internal or external audits of internal control over financial reporting or similar; and/or planning, monitoring and reporting activities or funding agreements
- Fluency in English; French an asset
