Job Summary
Manager, Capacity Development role within the First Nations Financial Management Board focuses on building client capacity to achieve FMS certification under FAL, delivering capacity-building resources (tools, templates, webinars, tutorials, workshops), facilitating change management practices, engaging with third-party contractors and researchers (including AFOA Canada), delivering presentations at national/regional conferences, and providing post-certification support to ensure sustainable, capacity-enhanced governance and financial practices for First Nations. The role requires developing relationships with clients and stakeholders, identifying and implementing leading-capacity development delivery methods, and traveling to remote locations as needed while supporting a national scope of work.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another business-related field
- Professional accounting designation (CPA or CAFM) preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in planning and conducting internal or external audits of internal control over financial reporting or similar; and/or planning, monitoring and reporting activities or funding agreements
- Fluency in English; French an asset
