Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of associates in the preparation, review, and electronic filing of Form 5500s for a diverse portfolio of employee benefit plans. Oversee analysis of financial and participant data to ensure accuracy and compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations. Deliver Form 5500-related services (including 5500, 8955-SSA, 720, 5330) for clients of varying sizes. Act as primary point of contact across internal teams, external clients, and auditors. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing and project budgets. Monitor evolving Form 5500 compliance requirements and uphold professional integrity within a collaborative firm culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing
- minimum five years of recent, relevant experience in employee benefit plan compliance, tax or audit
- at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Deep understanding of ERISA and IRS regulations related to employee benefit plans
- proven leadership, project management and problem-solving abilities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong client and team relationships
