Job Summary
Manager, Business Tax Services - Employee Benefits Compliance leads a team in preparing, reviewing, and filing Form 5500s for employee benefit plans; analyzes financial and participant data for ERISA/IRS compliance; oversees engagement scope including forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 720, 5330; serves as liaison across service lines and with external clients/auditors; manages budgeting, billing, and project risk; requires five+ years relevant experience with at least two years in a supervisory role; CPA/JD/LLM/EA or equivalent credentials; strong ERISA/IRS knowledge and client-facing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing
- five years of recent, relevant experience in employee benefit plan compliance, tax or audit
- at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role
- deep understanding of ERISA and IRS regulations related to employee benefit plans
- proven leadership, project management and problem-solving abilities
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong client and team relationships
