Job Summary
Manager, Business Tax Services - Employee Benefits Compliance leads a team in preparing, reviewing, and electronically filing Form 5500s for employee benefit plans; analyzes financial and participant data to ensure ERISA/IRS compliance; oversees Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 720, and 5330; serves as primary contact for internal teams and external clients/auditors; drives engagement risk and financial performance including billing and budgets; monitors evolving Form 5500 requirements and maintains professional integrity in line with KPMG culture.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of recent, relevant experience in employee benefit plan compliance, tax or audit, with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; one year post-hire to obtain an approved designation if not possessed at hire
- Deep understanding of ERISA and IRS regulations related to employee benefit plans
- Proven leadership, project management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong client and team relationships
