Job Summary
Lead and manage a team of associates in the preparation, review, and electronic filing of Form 5500s for a diverse portfolio of employee benefit plans; oversee gathering, analysis, and interpretation of financial and participant data to ensure accuracy and compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations; deliver on client needs within the Form 5500 compliance services sector (including Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 720, 5330); act as primary point of contact for internal teams, external clients, and auditors; facilitate risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets; monitor evolving Form 5500 filing requirements; uphold professional integrity and a respectful work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA (or other approved designation/credential) per firm listing
- Five years of recent, relevant experience in employee benefit plan compliance, tax or audit, with at least two years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Deep understanding of ERISA and IRS regulations related to employee benefit plans
- Proven leadership, project management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of building strong client and team relationships
