Job Summary
As Manager, Business Intelligence, lead SOCAN's analytics function, overseeing Data Analysts and Data Engineers to deliver scalable data and reporting solutions. Define and execute the enterprise analytics strategy, align data initiatives with business priorities, and ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization. Lead cross-functional teams, shape the data platform (Databricks/Azure), govern data quality, and drive executive-ready insights and dashboards that inform strategic decisions. Comfortable translating complex data environments into actionable business outcomes and working with senior stakeholders in a bilingual English/French environment.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering with leadership of analytics functions or teams
- 2+ years of people management
- Advanced SQL and Python, with Spark experience
- Experience with modern cloud data platforms (Databricks and Azure)
- Strong data modeling, ETL/ELT, and scalable analytics platform design
- Ability to define and execute data strategy, KPI frameworks, data governance, and analytics roadmaps
- Experience delivering enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions
- Understanding of data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
